Final conference programme now online!

The final programme of the SCOT final conference is now online! All our speakers and panel members have confirmed. It promises to become an interesting day, with many thought leaders sharing their knowledge and vision of CCU's future. We are looking forward to key notes from scientific experts and policy leaders such as Prof. Walter Leitner (Institute of Technical Chemistry and Petro-chemistry), Prof. Colin Hills (University of Greenwich), Rudolf W. Strohmeier (European Commission) and Alain Goeppert (Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute), which will follow by panel discussions related to the notes. The panel discussions will focus on:

  • The technical hurdles (with Christian von Olshausen (Sunfire), Laurent Bledel (CEA), Erik Langereis (DIFFER) moderated by SCOT's Grant Wilson);
  • Making profitable business cases (with Benedikt Stefansson (CRI), Philippe Mengal (Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking), Jan Hopman (CATO), moderated by SCOT's Dennis Kraemer); and
  • Creating smart policies and a facilitating regulatory framework (two panels: one with Jan Theulen (Heidelberg Cement), Eelco Decker (Methanol Institute), Adriana Lopes Barros (PUC Rio de Janeiro), moderated by SCOT's Roya Farhoosh; and one with Achim Boenke (European Commission), Lothar Mennicken (Government of Belgium), Gernot Klotz (K41 and KET), moderated by SCOT's Katy Armstrong).

The day will end with a look at the way forward now that the SCOT FP7-project is reaching its end.
